Vietnamese police arrest four suspects in cryptocurrency mining scam, stealing 4 billion VND
ChainCatcher news, the Vietnamese police have arrested four individuals involved in a cryptocurrency mining scam, who stole 4 billion Vietnamese dong (approximately $157,300) from over 200 victims.
It is alleged that the suspects, led by Tran Minh Quang, developed a fraudulent cryptocurrency mining website called BitMiner, with a registered domain in Singapore. The gang promoted themselves as a cryptocurrency mining company based in Dubai and offered unrealistic investment returns.
