ChainCatcher news, according to crypto.news, some industry insiders have expressed doubts about Trump's launch of the Meme coin TRUMP, including:

Anthony Scaramucci, founder of SkyBridge Capital, stated: "Trump's Meme coin is detrimental to the industry. Let's not kid ourselves. This is corruption on the level of Idi Amin (the 3rd President of Uganda)."

Ben Meiselas, co-founder of Meidas Touch, mentioned that Trump could have focused on more urgent matters instead of launching a Meme coin.

Dave Portnoy, founder of Barstool Sports, also joined the discussion, comparing Trump's issuance of the Meme coin to the alleged "pump-and-dump" scheme of the influencer Haliey Welch with the Meme coin HAWK.
