Coinbase registers with Indian regulators, plans to return to the market and restart trading services
ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, the largest cryptocurrency exchange platform in the United States, Coinbase, has successfully registered with the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of India, paving the way for its return to the Indian market.
Coinbase plans to relaunch retail trading services later this year and further expand its investment products. Previously, under regulatory pressure from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Coinbase suspended its operations in India in 2022. This re-entry into the market may indicate a relaxation of India's regulatory stance on digital assets, aligning with global regulatory trends.
