ChainCatcher news, Coinbase has been approved to offer digital asset trading in India, bringing it a step closer to re-entering one of the world's largest cryptocurrency markets. A representative from the exchange stated in a statement on Tuesday that its goal is to launch cryptocurrency trading services in India later this year.
Coinbase first established a presence in India in 2022 but exited the Indian market a year later due to regulatory hurdles. "The developer community and entrepreneurial spirit in India are unparalleled," said John O'Loghlen, Managing Director for Asia Pacific at Coinbase, in the statement.
