ChainCatcher news, according to Binance founder Zhao Changpeng's disclosure on social media, the Wall Street Journal's report about him engaging in trades to obtain a pardon contains factual errors.

Zhao Changpeng stated that he has never discussed any trades related to Binance US with anyone and believes that the article seems to be an attack on the president and cryptocurrency, with remnants of the previous administration's "crackdown on cryptocurrency" still at play.

Zhao Changpeng pointed out that more than 20 people have told him that the Wall Street Journal had asked them if they could confirm "Zhao Changpeng made some deal for a pardon." He believes that as the only felon in U.S. history to be sentenced to prison for a single Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) charge, any felon would not mind obtaining a pardon.

Zhao Changpeng stated that he remains committed to promoting the development of cryptocurrency in the United States and other parts of the world.
