JPMorgan has raised its global recession forecast for this year to 60%
ChainCatcher news, according to Jinshi reports, JPMorgan's chief economist Bruce Kasman warned that if the tariff policies implemented by the Trump administration persist, they could push the U.S. and global economy into recession by 2025. He pointed out that the risk of a global economic recession has risen from 40% to 60% this year. Kasman stated that these tariffs represent the largest tax increase on American households and businesses since 1968, and their impact could be amplified by retaliatory measures, worsening business sentiment, and supply chain disruptions.
