The seven-day annualized volatility of the S&P 500 surpasses BTC

2025-04-11 14:27:04

ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, due to the new round of trade tariffs from the Trump administration, the attractiveness of U.S. assets has declined, with the S\&P 500's seven-day annualized volatility soaring to 169%, surpassing Bitcoin's 83% volatility during the same period, reaching a new high since the pandemic in 2020.

Investors have significantly sold off U.S. Treasuries, causing the 10-year yield to rise to 4.45%, while the dollar index has fallen to 100, marking a new low since September of last year. The research director at CoinShares stated that the current market may be shifting towards a new type of store of value asset represented by Bitcoin, which is resistant to political interference.
