ChainCatcher news, according to Cryptopolitan, four officers from the Central Crime Branch in Bangalore, India, are being investigated for allegedly tampering with evidence related to crypto assets.

These assets are derived from the criminal proceeds of international hacker Srikrishna Ramesh. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) found that the officers illegally accessed his crypto wallet after Sriki's arrest in 2020 and transferred Bitcoin through private network experts.

Currently, the investigation is ongoing and may involve broader corruption activities.
