South Korea blocks 14 unreported cryptocurrency exchange apps including KuCoin and MEXC

ChainCatcher news, according to Coindesk, the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of South Korea has requested Apple to block 14 applications of overseas unreported virtual asset operators, including KuCoin and MEXC, which have been blocked since April 11.

The statement noted: "Unreported business activities will face criminal penalties." The FIU has been continuously monitoring unreported overseas operators and has also blocked access through internet websites. The FIU emphasized: "In the future, we will negotiate with relevant agencies to continue blocking such apps and websites to prevent money laundering risks and user losses."
