Futureverse acquires Candy Digital and partners with Netflix and DC Comics IP

ChainCatcher news, according to Decrypt, the metaverse technology company Futureverse announced the acquisition of the digital collectibles platform Candy Digital on April 16, 2025, with the transaction amount undisclosed. This acquisition gives Futureverse access to Candy Digital's 4 million digital collectibles and 1.5 million user accounts, as well as partnerships with blue-chip brands such as Netflix, DC Comics, and MLB.

It is reported that Futureverse was established at the end of 2022 and completed a $54 million Series A funding round in 2023, with a valuation of approximately $1 billion.
