Metaplanet currently holds 4,855 BTC, with a year-end target of holding 10,000 BTC

ChainCatcher news, Metaplanet CEO posted on X that despite recent market volatility, the company will continue to firmly advance its Bitcoin strategy, aiming to accumulate a total of 10,000 BTC by the end of the year.

Currently, the company holds 4,855 BTC, ranking 10th among publicly listed companies globally and 1st in Asia. In addition, Metaplanet's per-share BTC holdings have increased by 119.3% year-to-date, far exceeding the quarterly target (+35%), and the company has gained an additional 2,174 BTC through financial strategies, amounting to approximately 27 billion yen.

The number of company shareholders has also grown from less than 10,000 at the end of last year to about 65,000 in March this year, with increasing attention from institutional investors. Metaplanet stated that its goal is to enhance corporate value and per-share BTC content in the long term.
