ChainCatcher news, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated that the Ethereum Foundation (EF) has set two core goals: the primary goal is to enhance the usage of Ethereum, with a particular emphasis on use cases where users can truly benefit from the underlying properties of Ethereum; the second is to comprehensively strengthen the resilience and decentralization of Ethereum, focusing on identifying and addressing potential weaknesses across various layers of the technology stack.

Riot Platforms Vice President of Research Pierre Rochard expressed skepticism about this. Rochard pointed out that the two goals proposed by the Ethereum Foundation, "enhancing Ethereum usage" and "strengthening Ethereum decentralization and resilience," do not help increase the value of ETH, as Ethereum's usage can be achieved through wBTC or USDT. He believes these goals are partly foundational clichés and partly superficial gestures. As an alternative, Rochard suggested that the Ethereum Foundation should conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the Nasdaq stock exchange and implement an ETH treasury strategy through convertible bonds.
