ChainCatcher news, Tether CEO Paul Ardoino stated in an interview with CNBC on April 30 that Tether plans to launch a stablecoin product within this year to enter the U.S. market.

Tether's flagship stablecoin USDT is currently the main "export product" of the U.S. dollar, Ardoino told CNBC.

Ardoino mentioned that Tether is preparing to enter the U.S. market "as early as the end of this year or early next year," adding that the specific timing depends on the progress of U.S. lawmakers on stablecoin legislation.
