ChainCatcher news, according to TheBlock, mentions of "cryptocurrency" and "stablecoin" in U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings have reached an all-time high. In April, the SEC mentioned "cryptocurrency" 786 times, a 38% increase from 569 times in March, and an 8% increase from 727 times in April 2024. The term "stablecoin" was mentioned an average of 103 times from February to April 2025, doubling the previous 13-month average of 48 times, with March reaching 124 times.
The surge in data reflects that federal agencies are increasing their focus on digital assets. The SEC's upcoming new regulatory framework and stablecoin guidelines have become the market's focal point, as cryptocurrency is transforming into a core aspect of enterprise risk management and investor relations.
