The Thai Ministry of Finance plans to issue $150 million in digital investment tokens
ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, Thailand's Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira announced that the government plans to issue 5 billion baht (approximately 150 million USD) in digital investment tokens to raise public funds.
This issuance is seen as a "trial" step in the market, aimed at exploring the application of digital assets in public debt management. Chunhavajira stated that investors can participate with smaller amounts and receive returns higher than bank deposits. The plan has been approved by the cabinet, marking Thailand's further exploration in the field of digital finance.
