Starknet enters the "Stage 1" decentralization phase
ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, the Ethereum ZK-Rollup scaling solution Starknet has announced that it has entered the "Stage 1" decentralization phase. According to the framework proposed by Vitalik Buterin in 2022, this phase means that the network has established a security council and a validity proof system, significantly reducing external interference.
Starknet added that this framework is the "gold standard on-chain tool for analyzing Ethereum scaling solutions," and stated that this phase has been achieved through transformations such as the creation of a security council and the avoidance of censorship mechanisms. StarkWare CEO Eli Ben-Sasson stated that the next step will be to advance towards the "Stage 2" goal of complete decentralization, achieving a network fully governed by the community. According to L2beat, currently only three small Layer 2 projects have reached this stage.
