AMD sells ZT Systems' data center manufacturing business to Sanmina for $3 billion
ChainCatcher news, according to Jinshi reports, AMD announced on May 19 local time that it has reached a final agreement to sell ZT Systems' data center infrastructure manufacturing business to integrated manufacturing solutions company Sanmina, with a transaction value of $3 billion. The deal is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
In August last year, AMD agreed to acquire server manufacturer ZT Systems for a combination of cash and stock, with a transaction value of $4.9 billion. AMD stated at the time that it would retain the company's design and customer teams and sell its manufacturing division.
