Bitstamp obtains MiCA cryptocurrency service provider license

ChainCatcher news, cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp has received approval from the Luxembourg financial regulator CSSF and obtained a crypto asset service provider (CASP) license under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) framework. This license covers its trading platform operations across the entire European Economic Area, execution of orders for clients, and custody services.

Bitstamp stated that the MiCA approval further solidifies its position as one of the most regulated crypto exchanges globally and provides European clients with a safer and more reliable environment for crypto asset investments.
