TRC20-USDT issuance surpasses 77.7 billion, setting a new historical record

ChainCatcher news, the issuance of TRC20-USDT has increased to 77.7 billion, setting a new historical high. Since the beginning of this year, the TRON network has cumulatively issued nearly 18 billion USDT. As of now, TRC20-USDT accounts for more than half of the total issuance of USDT across the network, with the number of holding accounts reaching 66.25 million and the total number of transfers exceeding 2.52 billion.

TRON founder Justin Sun previously stated at TOKEN2049 Dubai that TRON's goal is to surpass a total market capitalization of stablecoins of 100 billion dollars this year.

It is reported that TRC20-USDT is a dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Tether based on the TRON network, supported by several exchanges including Binance, HTX, OKX, Bitfinex, MEXC, KuCoin, Gate, and Poloniex. The TRC20 version of USDT will enhance the existing decentralized application ecosystem of TRON, bringing higher overall value storage and stronger liquidity for decentralized exchanges, and providing a more convenient blockchain entry for enterprise partners and institutional investors.
