ChainCatcher news, according to Caixin, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Basset stated that the Trump administration has suspended plans to create a sovereign wealth fund, as the president has prioritized paying off national debt. "I think the president has decided to pause this plan so that we can continue to deal with other things we are currently working on," Basset said on Friday. "He mentioned a few days ago that we might spend more time on debt repayment. He is focused on paying off the debt."
