Sui Foundation adds $10 million in security investment to strengthen ecological protection system

ChainCatcher news, according to official sources, in response to the recent Cetus incident that caused user losses, Sui officials announced an additional investment of 10 million dollars for ecological security-related construction. Although the vulnerability originated from the mathematical library used by Cetus and has no direct relation to the Sui protocol and the Move language, the officials stated that they will still take a holistic approach to enhance the platform's security support for developers.

The new funds will be used for audits, bug bounties, formal verification, and other measures, with specific implementation to be jointly agreed upon with the developer community. The Sui team emphasized that the platform has been designed with smart contract security at its core, but also acknowledged that "no system design can completely avoid human code defects," calling on ecological builders to take this incident as an opportunity to strengthen key code security and jointly promote the network towards maturity and stability.
