The second suspect in the New York cryptocurrency kidnapping case has surrendered, while a co-defendant has already been arrested
ChainCatcher news, cryptocurrency entrepreneur William Duplessie has surrendered to the New York police for his alleged involvement in a cryptocurrency kidnapping case, facing charges of kidnapping, assault, unlawful imprisonment, and illegal possession of weapons. Previously, co-defendant John Woeltz was arrested last Friday.
The 28-year-old Italian victim escaped after being held captive for nearly three weeks and reported to the police that he had been beaten, electrocuted, and threatened with death. This case reflects the increasing violent crimes targeting cryptocurrency holders.
