eToro re-expands its cryptocurrency business in the U.S., restoring trading for 12 tokens
ChainCatcher news, according to Decrypt, online trading platform eToro announced on Wednesday that it has launched 12 cryptocurrencies on its U.S. platform, expanding its digital asset offerings in the U.S. after significantly reducing its operations there due to regulatory restrictions last year.
The newly added tokens include Cardano, Dogecoin, XRP, and Shiba Inu, increasing the total number of tradable crypto assets on the U.S. platform from 3 to 15.
These new tokens will be launched alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum, and BCH. Previously, eToro had only retained these three cryptocurrencies after reaching a settlement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 2024.
