ChainCatcher news, according to the Thai Securities and Exchange Commission, starting from June 28, 2025, five unlicensed cryptocurrency trading platforms: Bybit, 1000X, CoinEx, OKX, and XT.COM will be banned.

It is claimed that this move is based on the "Technology Crime Prevention and Suppression Act (No. 2)" which comes into effect on April 13, 2025, aimed at protecting investors' rights and preventing illegal platforms from being used as money laundering channels. The Thai Ministry of Digital Economy and Society will be responsible for enforcing the relevant ban measures. The Thai SEC reminds investors holding assets on the aforementioned platforms to properly manage their assets before the platforms are banned.
