JPMorgan: Ethereum upgrade fails to significantly boost network activity
ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, JPMorgan (JPM) stated in a research report that despite the continuous upgrades of the Ethereum blockchain, its activity has not significantly increased.
The bank pointed out that since the Dencun upgrade in March 2024, average fees and total fees have decreased, while daily transaction volume and the number of active addresses have not shown substantial growth.
In addition, the futures positions indicate that institutions have played an important role in the recent rise of ETH. Ethereum launched the Pectra upgrade on May 7, which aims to streamline the staking process, enhance wallet functionality, and improve overall efficiency.
