Gavin Wood: Does not intend to issue new tokens based on the JAM protocol
ChainCatcher news, Polkadot founder Gavin Wood responded on the Polkadot forum regarding the issuance of the JAM Token. He stated: "I personally do not intend to issue a new token based on the JAM protocol, nor do I think it would be wise for Parity and the Web3 Foundation to issue such a token; of course, the leadership of these organizations can decide for themselves. I generally oppose actions that I believe do not bring actual net benefits to Polkadot, but I will continue to explore ideas that may bring long-term value to Polkadot. Sometimes this involves new tokens, but these tokens are usually symbiotic with DOT rather than replacing it."
