Interactive Tutorial | How to Leverage On-Chain AI Creation in Autonomous IP Layer 1 "Camp Network"?
Author: momo, ChainCatcher
Recently, the on-chain AI creation event launched by the autonomous IP Layer 1 blockchain Camp Network in collaboration with MERV, StoryChain, and Rob Feldman has attracted a large number of users.
According to data from Camp Network's official Twitter, the event has drawn over 50,000 users and 125,000 instances of IP secondary creation within just a few days of its launch.
Camp Network can be said to be a highly regarded interactive project among community users recently. In May, Camp Network launched the K2 testnet and simultaneously kicked off the "Summit Series" event, where users explore ecological dApps through on-chain tasks to earn points. This on-chain AI creation event is also one of the activities in the "Summit Series" of the testnet.
This article will briefly outline the overview of Camp Network and provide an interactive tutorial for the on-chain AI creation event.
Building an Autonomous IP-Specific Layer 1 Amidst the AI Agent Wave
With the rapid development of AI, the IP management issues faced by creators have become increasingly severe. A large number of models use content for training without authorization, causing creators to lose control, visibility, and revenue over their intellectual property (IP).
In the high-frequency content generation scenarios of AI, traditional IP management methods are no longer suitable, and issues such as opaque ownership, rampant piracy, and licensing disputes have become more prominent.
As AI agents gradually replace traditional information processing methods, users' own IP and vertically tuned AI agents become the core of value. However, the market lacks solutions specifically designed for the integration of IP and AI, failing to meet creators' rights protection needs in the digital economy.
Camp Network aims to fill this market gap by creating a Layer 1 focused on autonomous IP and supporting AI agents that possess user identities.
According to the Camp Network white paper, its core highlights include:
Support for IP tokenization: Anyone can put music, images, videos, personal data, and other IP on-chain for AI training and earn revenue.
No Gas registration and royalties: On-chain IP and royalty distribution are gas-free, low-cost, and efficient.
Isolated execution environment: A dedicated environment designed for AI agents and automatic licensing, flexible and efficient.
Support for dedicated application chains: Developers can launch independent chains with exclusive block space and computing power, suitable for high-performance needs.
Camp Network states that in the coming months, with the mainnet launch, dozens of new applications will be introduced, covering music, entertainment, social media, and more. Currently, its ecosystem partners serve over 5 million users.
Interactive Tutorial for the On-Chain AI Creation Event
The on-chain AI creation event by Camp Network includes three sections: social tasks, MERV tasks, and StoryChain tasks. The specific tutorial is as follows:
Social Tasks
Follow Merv, Merv Toon, and Storychain on the X platform; join Storychain's Discord and Telegram.
MERV Tasks
- Log in to https://camp.merv.wtf/ and connect your wallet.
In addition to logging in with Web3 wallets like Metamask and Rainbow, you can also choose Web2 login methods such as X or Google accounts. If you choose the latter, follow the platform's prompts, and it will help you generate an on-chain wallet through the Para identity protocol.
- Click "faucet" in the upper right corner of the homepage to claim test coins. (If you already have test coins, you can skip this step.)
- Click "Generate Cyko KO IP" on the homepage and choose your favorite character.
- Once the character is generated, click "Collect & Mint NFT" to complete the minting.
Share your minted new character on the X platform.
Click "Bring to life on Storychain," which will redirect you to https://storychain.ai/comicbook, and prepare to create a storyline for the character.
Storychain Tasks
After entering https://storychain.ai/comicbook, connect your wallet. Both Web3 wallets and Web2 social account login methods are supported.
Click "Create New" in the upper right corner.
- Choose a character.
You can select either "Standard Character" or "MERV Character." If you choose "Standard Character," there are two characters to choose from; select one of them.
If you are using a character generated by MERV, users who log in with the same wallet as the MERV platform will have the character automatically displayed, and you can also search for your MERV character by wallet address.
- Complete the storyline creation.
Name the character → Choose gender → Enter comic storyline prompts → Click "Create Comic!"
If you are unsure how to write the comic storyline, you can use AI tools like ChatGPT or Deepseek to assist in writing.
- Wait for the storyline to be generated and complete the comic creation.
