Former OpenAI employees founded the cryptocurrency salary platform Volante Chain, which raised $2 million in private funding
ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, former OpenAI employee Joey Bertschler announced the establishment of the cryptocurrency payroll distribution platform Volante Chain during the Blockchain and AI Week in Germany, having secured $2 million in private investment. The platform enables same-day payroll settlement through blockchain technology and is currently conducting MVP phase testing in Vietnam and Japan, covering thousands of users.
Bertschler stated that the platform employs a hybrid AI system: artificial intelligence monitors employer default risks in real-time and supports decision-making, while also incorporating human review and legal verification. He revealed that the existing funds can support operations for 5 years without the need for additional financing.
When discussing his reasons for leaving OpenAI, the Austrian founder mentioned that non-American employees face promotion restrictions and lack of equity incentives, criticizing the company as "not living up to its name": "With Microsoft's involvement, OpenAI has deviated from its open-source mission and could entirely be renamed Closed AI."
