Japanese game company CyberStep ventures into cryptocurrency investment, planning to invest up to 1 billion yen
ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, the operator of the online claw machine game "トレバ", CyberStep, announced on July 1, 2025, that it will enter the cryptocurrency investment business through a newly established strategic department called "CRYPTECH Capital".
The company plans to build a "self-circulating token economy" model, converting tokens generated by its Web3 services (such as the blockchain game "Eggle") into mainstream cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, and reserving them as corporate assets. CyberStep will invest 200 million yen as startup capital at the beginning of the 2026 fiscal year and plans to gradually expand the investment scale to a maximum of 1 billion yen based on market conditions.
