Grok AI has been integrated into Tesla's in-car system, and this feature will be standard on new American models delivered starting July 12
According to ChainCatcher news, the Tesla official website shows that Grok has logged into the Tesla in-car system. Starting from July 12, new American version cars will come standard with this feature, allowing users to wake up Grok through the in-car app or by long-pressing the voice button on the steering wheel for natural language conversations, with various personality styles to choose from.
Currently, Grok only supports Model S/3/X/Y and Cybertruck equipped with AMD infotainment processors and running software version 2025.26 or above. This feature is launched in Beta and does not currently support direct control of vehicle functions such as navigation and air conditioning. All user conversation content will be anonymized by xAI to protect privacy. At present, vehicle owners can enable Grok without a Grok account or subscription.
In the future, Grok may be made available on more Tesla models through over-the-air software updates. The availability of Grok may change or be discontinued at any time.
