ChainCatcher news, Christie's International Real Estate has established a new department focused on property transactions conducted with cryptocurrency. This department aims to promote the use of cryptocurrency for purchasing luxury properties and is currently accepting offers for luxury properties valued at $1 billion that only accept pure cryptocurrency bids.

The Southern California branch manager Aaron Kirman created this department inspired by recent high-priced cryptocurrency real estate sales. The department is equipped with a professional team consisting of lawyers, analysts, and cryptocurrency experts who can facilitate cryptocurrency payments without the need for intermediary banks. Kirman stated that he has presided over some transactions where the seller was unaware of the buyer's identity, but the seller's broker's lawyer would verify the legitimacy of the buyer's source of funds.

After evaluating several high-value transactions using cryptocurrency over the past two years, Christie's decided to establish this department. Recently, at the request of a client, a $65 million real estate transaction in Beverly Hills, USA, has been completed using cryptocurrency.
