Standard Chartered Bank: Currently studying documents related to Hong Kong stablecoins, aiming to submit the application as soon as possible

ChainCatcher news, according to RTHK - Finance report, Standard Chartered's CEO for Hong Kong and Greater China and North Asia, Mary Huen, stated that the group is studying the new documents related to stablecoins published by the Monetary Authority, aiming to submit an application as soon as possible after the "Stablecoin Ordinance" comes into effect.

She pointed out that the consortium formed by Standard Chartered and its partners has participated in the stablecoin issuer "sandbox" and is focused on exploring opportunities in the Hong Kong dollar market. Mary Huen believes that the new regulatory framework helps balance risks, maintains an open attitude towards business solutions, and believes that digital assets will play an important role in the financial system in the future.
