2025-08-06 08:47:52

ChainCatcher message, Base announced on social media early yesterday morning that it experienced a network interruption lasting 33 minutes, which caused a pause in block production.

Base stated that the interruption was due to an automatic switch to a mainnet sequencer in an abnormal operating state within the high availability cluster. The Base team acted quickly, switching to a healthy mainnet sequencer, after which the Base chain resumed normal operations. The team has now completed a comprehensive post-incident analysis and will share the details of the event, the solutions, and specific measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
