Nomura Securities' Laser Digital obtains the first crypto OTC options license in Dubai
ChainCatcher news, according to Coindesk, Nomura's cryptocurrency subsidiary Laser Digital announced that it has obtained a limited license issued by the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), becoming the first regulated cryptocurrency over-the-counter (OTC) options provider in the region.
The license allows it to offer mid-term options trading based on ISDA agreements directly to clients, initially focusing on mainstream crypto tokens. Laser Digital stated that Dubai's clear regulatory framework is attracting global crypto companies, and Deribit, acquired by Coinbase, also plans to enter this market.
