"We may appoint an interim candidate first, and then determine the official candidate," Trump said to reporters at the White House on Wednesday. "I believe the interim candidate will be announced in the next two or three days, and then we will appoint the official candidate."
Trump mentioned that he is considering "about" three candidates for the position, who may come from Wall Street. He added that Secretary of Commerce Ross, Secretary of the Treasury Mnuchin, and Vice President Pence are among the advisors involved in the process.
