MANTRA proposes to abolish the ERC20 OM token, with an inflation rate intended to be adjusted to 8%
ChainCatcher news, the decentralized finance infrastructure project MANTRA has announced an important proposal to abolish the ERC20 version of the OM token and fully migrate OM to MANTRA Chain as the only native token. This proposal aims to optimize the project's token economic model by integrating liquidity, setting a total supply cap of 2.5 billion OM, adjusting the token inflation rate to 8%, and enhancing network security performance.
Data shows that since the launch of the MANTRA Chain mainnet, approximately 250 million OM tokens (accounting for 28% of the total supply) have been migrated. If the proposal is approved, the ERC20 format of the OM token will officially be deactivated on January 15, 2026, and any tokens that have not been migrated will be considered forfeited. Community voting started on August 20 at 19:50 Beijing time and will continue until August 22 at 19:50.
