The U.S. Department of Commerce collaborates with Chainlink to put macroeconomic data on the blockchain
ChainCatcher news, Chainlink announced a collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) to bring U.S. government macroeconomic data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) on-chain. These new Chainlink data sources will securely bring key information of critical U.S. economic data on-chain, including real Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index, and real final sales to private domestic purchasers.
The data will be updated monthly or quarterly and will initially be available on ten blockchain ecosystems. The first supported chains include: Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Botanix, Ethereum, Linea, Mantle, Optimism, Sonic, and ZKsync. Based on user demand, support for additional blockchain networks can be gradually added in the future.
