ChainCatcher news, the Solana new consensus protocol Alpenglow proposal SIMD-0326 has been voted through. The voting rule requires that the proportion of affirmative votes must reach 2/3 of the total votes (affirmative + negative) to pass.

Alpenglow aims to reduce the block finalization time from 12.8 s to nearly 150 ms.
