Suspected North Korean hackers breached a Coinbase outsourcing company in India months ago, resulting in user asset losses exceeding $400 million

ChainCatcher news, Binance co-founder Zhao Changpeng posted on X platform reminding that crypto project teams need to be aware of the security threats from North Korean hackers. He stated that a few months ago, a large Indian outsourcing company was hacked, resulting in the leak of user data from a major American exchange, leading to user asset losses exceeding $400 million.

Crypto Unafraid quoted this tweet and stated that, based on previous reports and public information, this major American exchange should be Coinbase. Additionally, on-chain detective Zachxbt revealed that Coinbase users suffer losses of up to $300 million annually due to social engineering scams.
