The suspect behind a $580 million cryptocurrency and credit card fraud case was arrested in Bangkok

ChainCatcher news, according to Decrypt, a Portuguese man has been arrested in Bangkok, Thailand, with police suspecting he orchestrated a $580 million cryptocurrency and credit card fraud scheme.

The Thai English newspaper Khaosod confirmed that the man is 39-year-old Pedro M. A Portuguese journalist on vacation in Bangkok was the first to spot him at a luxury shopping mall. Khaosod did not confirm Pedro's last name, but his profile and photo match those of the well-known Pedro Morato in Portuguese media.
