HIVE Digital's mining power reaches 23 EH/s, and its Bitcoin output funds the AI transformation

HIVE Digital Technologies (HIVE) stated that as it increases production to generate revenue to fund the expansion of its artificial intelligence (AI) computing infrastructure, its Bitcoin mining hash rate has reached 23 EH/s.

HIVE's mining hash rate has grown by 283% this year and is expected to reach 25 EH/s by the end of this month, thanks to the full deployment of hardware at its 100 megawatt (MW) hydroelectric park in Paraguay, powered by the Itaipu Dam. HIVE's mining hash rate had already reached 10 EH/s in May. Meanwhile, HIVE is transforming some of its Bitcoin mining facilities into liquid-cooled data centers suitable for AI. The company stated that after the completion of additional facilities in Toronto and Sweden, the total number of GPUs is expected to increase from the current approximately 5,000 to 36,000 by the end of 2026.

Data shows that HIVE currently holds approximately 2,201 Bitcoins in its treasury, making it the 34th largest digital asset treasury company.
