According to Cointelegraph, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez has been receiving his salary in Bitcoin since the end of 2021. He stated that he is not worried about the recent volatility in the cryptocurrency market, as his Bitcoin salary has increased by about 300%.

In an interview with Fox Business on Wednesday, when asked if he was concerned about Bitcoin's price dropping below $100,000 and the significant decline in most of the cryptocurrency market, he responded, "When I received my first Bitcoin salary, the price was $30,000, and now it has increased by 300%, peaking at $120,000, which is a 400% increase. So, I am not worried about daily fluctuations. What I am more concerned about is the macro impact that a trusted store of value can bring, as its monetary creation system is realized through code. Rather than tracking prices daily, I am more focused on the development of decentralized finance, cryptocurrencies, and artificial intelligence."
