The Ethereum Foundation promotes the dAI 2026 roadmap, with ERC-8004 and x402 as key focus areas

EF dAI Team leader Davide Crapis stated that he is working with the management of the Ethereum Foundation (EF) to develop the dAI Team 2026 roadmap, aiming to establish Ethereum as a global decentralized settlement and collaboration platform for AI, allowing autonomous intelligent agents to interact with identity, assets, and data under publicly auditable rules.

Davide Crapis also expressed gratitude to the expanding community around the ERC-8004 and x402 protocols, stating that these two standards are becoming the neutral norms for "agentic commerce," and he is seeking input from teams building related applications on which directions to focus support moving forward.
