Solana: Frequently targeted by DDoS attacks in the past week, but no impact on network performance
Solana's official statement mentioned that over the past week, Solana has been subjected to a continuous DDoS attack, which is the fourth largest in the history of any distributed system. So far, this attack has not affected Solana's network performance. The design goal of Solana is to survive even under such extreme conditions.
A DDoS attack (Distributed Denial of Service attack) refers to an attacker controlling a large number of devices to simultaneously send massive requests to the target system, attempting to exhaust its network bandwidth or computing resources, thereby causing system congestion, service interruption, or performance degradation.
