According to The Block, data shows that the CEX cryptocurrency trading volume in December fell to $1.13 trillion, reaching the lowest point in 15 months, down 32% from November's $1.66 trillion and down 49% from October's $2.23 trillion.

Last month, Binance accounted for the largest share of CEX cryptocurrency trading volume, with a volume of $367.35 billion, followed by ByBit, HTX, Gate, and Coinbase. Analysts believe that factors such as seasonal sentiment, volatility suppression, and year-end position adjustments have affected trading volume.

In addition, DEX trading activity also saw a decline last month, with total trading volume dropping to $245 billion. This figure is a 20% decrease from November's $306 billion and a 46% decrease from October's $451 billion. Uniswap still maintains its market dominance, with a monthly trading volume of $60 billion.
