Binance has applied for a MiCA license in Greece to meet the EU compliance deadline
According to Cointelegraph, Binance has submitted an application for the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) license to the Hellenic Capital Market Commission in response to the upcoming compliance deadline.
Previously, the French financial market regulator included Binance in its list of 90 companies that are registered but have not yet obtained MiCA licenses, notifying these companies that they must obtain a license before the transition period ends on June 30, or they must cease operations in July. According to publicly available data from the European Securities and Markets Authority, Greece has not yet issued any MiCA licenses, while Germany and the Netherlands are leading in the number of licenses issued.
