U.S. stocks opened, with the Dow down 0.1% and the Nasdaq up 0.32%
According to Gate market data, at the opening of the US stock market, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 0.1%, the S&P 500 index rose by 0.13%, and the Nasdaq Composite Index rose by 0.32%. Mining stocks performed strongly, with Coeur Mining (CDE.N) up 8.2% and Pan American Silver (PAAS.O) up 6.2%. However, Paypal (PYPL.O) plummeted by 18%, as the company warned that profits may decline this year and is changing its CEO.
