U.S. Republican senators urge the Treasury Department to buy Bitcoin
Some Republican lawmakers are urging the U.S. Treasury to purchase Bitcoin. Senator Cynthia Lummis has reportedly suggested to Treasury Secretary Yellen to use the U.S. gold reserves to buy Bitcoin. She proposed this idea to Yellen last year and stated that she would support actions taken within the existing executive authority.
