The three major U.S. stock indexes opened lower, with the Nasdaq down over 2%
According to Gate market data, at the opening of the U.S. stock market, the Dow Jones fell 1.72%, the S&P 500 index fell 1.56%, and the Nasdaq fell 2.01%. U.S. energy stocks rose, with Occidental Petroleum (OXY.N) up nearly 2%, and ExxonMobil (XOM.N) and Chevron (CVX.N) up about 0.6%.
