The Ethereum Foundation officially stated that today it finalized an over-the-counter transaction of 5,000 ETH, with an average price of $2,042.96, totaling approximately $10.22 million. The counterparty for the over-the-counter transaction is BitMine, the largest treasury company in Ethereum.

This sale will fund the foundation's core operations and activities, including protocol development, ecosystem development, community grant funding, and more.
